Innovative Sports and Education Academy (ISEA), Inc. promotes the enjoyment of sports by helping health-conscious tennis players of all levels play better tennis, experience a healthier lifestyle, and positively impact their education. Innovative Sports and Education Academy, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote tennis, educational and charitable activities to be carried out for the purpose of educating, encouraging, promoting, and advancing performance in tennis, education, health, and life skills. Thru ISEA's Innovative Sports & Education Academy, we offer a variety of programs including:
Quick Start Program is a tennis educational system where children are taught to play tennis with foam balls on a court scaled down to better suit the size and age of the player.
Junior Developmental Program is designed for students ages 9 thru 18. This program utilizes the full court and regular tennis balls. Sessions will stress tennis fundamentals, movement, and competitive play.
Elite Program is designed for high school tournament players. Class will challenge players by focusing on technique and skill development. All-court tennis skills are required.
Champions Program is an educational program that integrates the discipline developed in the sports programs with education. Educational assistance is provided to students by using tutoring and other forms of homework assistance to improve academic performance. Pre-college assistance is provided to junior and senior students in preparation for college standardize tests including SAT, ACT, and ISAT. For those interested in playing college tennis, we will assist students with the college recruiting process.
We are in the process of developing a Junior Entrepreneur Program to expand student creativity and knowledge of new possibilities.

Shown below are Josh Thompkins and Oni Jones. Josh played #3 Singles as a member of Culver Military Academy 2015 Regional Champions; Culver Military Academy is located in Culver, IN. Oni played #1 Doubles for Whitney Young High School, 2015 Sectional Champion; Whitney Young High School is located in Chicago, IL. As a tennis coach, he was instrumental in helping these students, as well as others, achieve the success and recognition that was well deserved.
Tennis Camp - Huge Success!!!
Innovative Tennis Academy hosted the High Performance Tennis Camp in 2015. The tennis camp offered high-performance tennis training designed for the individual player's development, and it was a huge success! It was filled with instruction, conditioning, strategy, match-play seminars, and energy-boosting refreshments. The camp was available for 8 weeks, running June 9 through July 30, 2015.
ISEA's President and CEO, Lonnie Wooden, will host the Innovative Tennis Camp annually for children. The focus is on learning the rules, etiquette, and basic technical skills of tennis. Lonnie Wooden has 25 years’ experience as a teaching pro/coach working with adults and junior players.
